NRCS

The National Regulatory Compulsory Specifications (NRCS) is an organization established in terms of the National Regulatory for Compulsory Specifications Act, No 5 of 2008.  The NRCS is responsible to ensure that products meet certain compulsory specifications/technical regulations.

The NCRS is responsible for issuing Letters of Authority (LOA).  The LOA is required by all local manufacturers or importers of product before the product may be sold to consumers.  The LOA will only be issued by the NRCS after the successful evaluation of the application submitted.
